Make hay while the sun shines.
The permaculture design principle of catching and storing energy is based on the idea that circumstances change. Sometimes resources are abundant but at other times they are scarce or insufficient. The catch and store principle – and the right timing – can also be applied to your web projects.
- Take a look at your website goals: Can you identify (seasonal) cycles and changes? Perhaps your services are in greatest demand in summer. Then why not expand your service and focus on it 100% at this time of the year? In winter, you can take the time to redesign your website.
- Document your website ideas and future plans so you can implement or expand them when the time is right.
- When things are quieter, use your time well and implement long-term strategies. Why not create sustainable backlinks, update blog articles (search engines like that!) or expand your community?
- Recycle existing content: For example, if you’ve written a great text about your project for a flyer, why not reuse it on your website? Or perhaps you’ve created some cool slogans for your blog articles and could use them in other ways. This can save you time and effort.
Now you know one of the 12 principles.
